Historic Findings: Arabian Gates CB2A2B

Credit: Google Search Stories

A very weird discovery was made in Saudi Arabia recently. Through the power of Google Earth Professor David Kennedy of the University of Western Australia has recently discovered hundreds of stone gate structures lying across the Saudi desert. Prof. Kennedy has been exploring the ground for years after they were first discovered. He would have preferred flying over the sites but he couldn’t get the permission so in comes Google Earth. He thinks that nomads could have built them thousands of years ago but without proper examination and dating it is impossible to tell. There are around 400 gates appx. 160 – 500 ft. long, sometimes 30 feet wide and the longest was 1,600 feet long. They are similar to the geoglyphs found in Jordan and reminiscent of the Nazca Lines as well.

18 ancient ruined ships have been discovered off the coast of Mersin in southern Turkey dating from the Greek period through the Roman times and ending around the Byzantine era. This adds to the 14 others that have been discovered in the past two years.
