Upcoming Films

The films listed here are films I am looking forward to watching in the future or curious about but unsure of. I’ll be recording films which have release dates announced for them.

Captain Marvel – 03/08/2019

As with most Marvel films I’m hoping Captain Marvel will be just as exciting with its introduction of the Kree and Skrull.

Hellboy – 04/12/2019

I’m hesitant with Hellboy since I loved the previous films yet a lack of the characters I liked and the new comedy direction they’re going in make me hesitant however I’ll still excitedly finish my popcorn to any Hellboy installment.

Avengers: Endgame – 04/26/2019

What needs to be said? Here we go.

Pokémon: Detective Pikachu – 05/10/2019

This movie will remain very difficult for me to have an opinion on. For one, it wants to be a comedy/mystery when most Pokemon games don’t tend to have those elements. I’ll be curious to see it but I’m not expecting anything amazing.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters – 05/31/2019

I have this movie on the list because I like Godzilla and I think the CGI will be interesting but as far as the story, I’ll probably pass. With a Godzilla film I always take the approach of more monster, less person. Still, seeing Ghidorah will be pretty fun.

Men in Black International – 06/14/2019

This film is a massive flip in the air. On the one hand you have MIB, a franchise which was great at the beginning but had problems in sequels. This was probably able to be overcome through using the two leading stars, Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith, as focal points to drive fan expectations. With that all gone the film can only rely on the new stars which is the other hand. Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson may have worked in Thor: Ragnarok but in MIB it could seriously misfire and down the series for good. But perhaps it’ll work flawlessly who knows?

Toy Story 4 – 06/21/2019

I don’t know much of anything about the next Toy Story but I’m always ready for another one.

Spider-Man: Far From Home – 07/05/2019

A follow up to the fun-filled first film Far From Home follows Spidey across Europe along with Mysterio playing a…mysterious…role in the film. It already looks good, given the upgrade in villainhood from guy with mechanical wings to giant elemental Titan entities.

Zombieland Too – 10/11/2019

Terminator 6 – 11/01/2019

Kingsman: The Great Game – 11/08/2019

Glass – 01/18/2019: While I wasn’t overly impressed with the film it was entertaining enough to hold my attention although the ending was disappointing.
